World Hepatitis Day

According to experts, liver disease statistics are increasing due to obesity, excessive alcohol consumption, unhealthy diet and a complex set of socio-economic problems.

The liver fulfills more tasks in the body than any other organ. An unhealthy liver can show many symptoms. This organ is very important and the interesting thing is that it has the ability to heal and regenerate itself. Special enzymes play this role in the liver. A fatty or inflamed liver tries to regenerate faster, increasing the production of these enzymes. However, if there are too many of them, it is not beneficial to the body. They do not stay only in the liver, but also enter the systemic circulation. Then any part of your body they reach can suffer the consequences. They are responsible, for example, for the transformation and breakdown of matrix proteins, including collagen, gelatin, elastin and fibronectin. If the connective tissue breaks down too quickly, you may suffer from pain and stiffness.

Hepatitis is an inflammatory disease of the liver and is one of the most common contagious infections. We know acute and chronic hepatitis and there can be several causes. It is a serious diagnosis because it interferes with many functions of the liver. Among other things, the liver produces bile to support digestion, produces hormones, regulates blood chemistry and filters toxic and potentially harmful substances from the bloodstream. This means that everything we eat or drink goes through the liver. An inflamed liver has many consequences and can lead to a mild illness, but also to a serious weakening of the organism with fatal consequences.

Types of hepatitis

Hepatitis can be caused by one of a number of viruses known by the alphabetical names A, B, C, D and E. Hepatitis A, B, and C are the most common types, while hepatitis D and E are less common. One form of hepatitis cannot transform into another. In addition to viral hepatitis, liver inflammation can also be caused by drugs, alcohol abuse, and environmental toxins.

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A is considered the least dangerous form because it is usually treated without serious complications and does not lead to chronic inflammation of the liver. The hepatitis A virus, which is spread through the fecal-oral route, commonly infects others through improper food handling, sloppy hygiene habits, contact with infected household members, sharing toys in childcare centers, and eating raw shellfish from polluted waters. Hand washing is the best prevention against hepatitis A. Fortunately, hepatitis A is a common vaccine-preventable disease worldwide.

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B is a liver infection caused by the HBV virus. If it is not treated, it can cause permanent consequences or serious failure of the body. It is portable in three main ways:

  1. through blood or blood products
  2. through sexual contact
  3. from mother to child during pregnancy and childbirth

Most patients with hepatitis B recover completely, but a small percentage of them become carriers. Carriers can unknowingly transmit the disease to others, even if they no longer have symptoms themselves. The best prevention is vaccination against hepatitis B, which consists of three doses.

Collagen and liver

Collagen contributes to the support of liver regeneration and detoxification systems.

It helps in getting rid of harmful substances and toxins. Glycine, an essential component of collagen, can help reverse liver damage and improve the liver's regeneration process. It provides long-term protection not only to the liver, but also to your heart and cardiovascular health. Another component of collagen is proline. It plays a beneficial role in the recovery of arteries and the removal of fatty deposits in the blood. It has also been shown to lower blood pressure.

Properties of collagen and the effect on the healing of intestinal microflora. Having a healthy gut is essential for our digestive system to function well and for the nutrients in our food to be properly absorbed. The benefit of consuming more collagen is that it helps create connective tissue, which in turn "seals and heals" the protective lining of the digestive system. We now know that keeping a healthy intestinal microflora may help avoid numerous illnesses and infections, according to recent studies.

Why Collagen Gamma?

The composition of Collagen Gamma of the AUROMEDA brand brings many benefits for the body in one dose. We have already briefly written about the importance of collagen for the liver. But in Collagene Gamma you will find much more besides top quality marine collagen. To create collagen and elastin in the body, you need vitamin C, zinc and biotin. And these are the ingredients that Collagen Gamma also contains.

Biotin is primarily known as a beauty vitamin. However, it also affects several metabolic processes in the human body. It helps to break down fats, carbohydrates and amino acids and convert them into energy, which is necessary for the normal functioning of the body.

In addition to these vitamins and minerals, extracts from prickly pear and raspberry fruits complete the composition of Collagen Gamma. Prickly pear is the fruit of cactus leaves. It has the ability to lower cholesterol levels, contains many antioxidants that can reduce oxidative stress. By eliminating free radicals, it is a helper for the liver. Red raspberries are a strong antioxidant, rich in ellagic acid and vitamin C. A unique feature of raspberries is the presence of ketones. In a recent study, raspberry ketones were shown to help fight obesity and fat accumulation in the liver.

Don't forget selenium!

We have already written about selenium as a fertility mineral, but it can also boast many other beneficial effects. Among the most significant effects of selenium in the human body is its ability to destroy free radicals. Free radicals are small particles that are formed in the body during various metabolic processes. In the body, they cause oxidation that damages the cell wall, which can result in, for example, faster cell aging. In layman's terms, selenium is a tireless repairer and protector of your cells. Selenium also helps to reduce the harmful effects of heavy metals in the body, lowers the level of bad LDL cholesterol and supports cell renewal in the liver. Smokers and vegans, who often have reduced levels of selenium in the body, should pay attention. Therefore, it is a good choice to combine the use of Collagen Gamma with Selenium Eta.
